Project History

RSI Ltd, based in Derbyshire, is a Bridge Inspection and Testing company and is
currently working on some of the busiest infrastructures in the UK. Click on the links

Area 9
Since 2002, RSI Ltd has been a major sub-contractor to Amey (formally AmeyMouchel) and is a supply chain partner. Amey are appointed as the Highways Agency Managing Agent Contractor for Area 9.

Other Areas
In addition to Area 9, RSI Ltd has undertaken inspection work within other MAC areas. These include Area 7 (previously Scott Wilson & Tarmac in North East Derbyshire and the PLaN Consortium, a partnership of Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire County Councils), and Area 17 (now Area 10) for Lancashire County Council.

Shelton New Road Extensive NDT
The structure known as Shelton New Road is a four span simply supported bridge carrying the B5045 dual carriageway over the A500 Trunk Road. The structure is a four span composite steel beam deck consisting of sixteen high yield steel and reinforced concrete top slab.

Barrow Hill Engine Shed Society
RSI Ltd was commissioned by the Barrow Hill Engine Shed Society of Chesterfield, Derbyshire to carry out a condition survey for refurbishment of their on-site cast iron water tank.

Peak Rail Plc
RSI Ltd was tasked to carry out a full Principal Inspection to Bridge No. 35 near Matlock, Derbyshire for Peak Rail plc. The inspection was a prelude to a full refurbishment scheme to be carried out by third parties.

Scottish Water
RSI Ltd were instructed by Concrete Repairs Ltd to undertake a specialised intrusive investigation into the condition of the pre- stressing systems of 7 No. preload water tanks.

Wisbech
RSI Ltd was commissioned by Jackson Civil Engineering to carry out a structural condition assessment of the River Nene flood defences in the town of Wisbech , on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border.
